I have added a page dedicated to James Whited who was Killed In Action in Laos in 1966. His body was never recovered. I will be posting more on the MIA/POW’s.

Thank you for standing up for our country and being a strong leader. You did your job well and kept us safe. You will always be my favorite President.

It is amazing that one day you can feel safe and secure, patriotic and proud that you are in the land of the free and the home of the brave and then it can be ripped from you in one day. I no longer feel safe and secure. Yes we are still the land of the free but I don’t know about the home of the brave. I have always felt compelled to pray for the troops and their families and for the leaders. It wasn’t until today that I realized just how important that it is.

Barack Hussein Obama is ‘transparent’ alright. The right side of the country saw it a long time ago. I keep wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt but then I turn on the news and anger takes over. I think he is an idiot.

Tomorrow, Barack Obama’s Inauguration Day, students on college campuses nationwide will declare, “One day of Obama is enough. It’s time for change.”

41 chapters of the group Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) have confirmed their participation in a nationwide activism event to demonstrate against Barack Obama’s policies. Each chapter will distribute flyers, hand out pocket constitutions, and talk to students about the dangers of Barack Obama’s policies on their campus.

“Not all young people are excited about the policies of President Obama. Who do you think will pay for all of this reckless spending? Who will fight and die in these unnecessary wars oversees? Our generation will,” says Jeff Frazee, Executive Director of YAL, in Arlington, VA.

Recently my husband and I visited Ft. Sill with my in-laws. It was so warming to see the base housing with the flags flying outside the homes. Here are ten guidelines from the VFW on how to fly your flag.

  1. The flag should be hoisted briskly and lowered ceremoniously
  2. The flag is never allowed to touch the ground or the floor
  3. When hung over a sidewalk on a rope extending from a building to a pole, the union stars are always away from the building
  4. When vertically hung over the center of the street, the flag always has the union stars to the north in and east/west street, and to the east in a north/south street
  5. The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of states or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs
  6. The flag should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds but always allowed to fall free
  7. The flag should be displayed at half-staff until noon on Memorial Day then raised to the top of the staff
  8. Never fly the flag upside down except as a signal of distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property
  9. The flag is never flown in inclement weather except when using an all-weather flag
  10. The flag can be flown every day from sunrise to sunset and at night if illuminated properly

In my opinion Bobby Rush is a dumb ass! I saw him on Fox News last night saying that Roland Burris being turned away yesterday was a racist move. What nerve! I am also tired of any anti-obama person being accused of being racist. Are we going to have to hear this every day for the next 1,474 days that Barack Hussein Obama is in office? I don’t care if he’s purple, I don’t like him and think he’s a sham. Would it be fair if I accused all of the black people of being racist that didn’t like Bush? It never entered my mind.

I have been wondering how we know that Roland Burris didn’t buy his seat. I guess we don’t know and never will.

Reid vowed to block the appointment because of allegations that Gov. Blogojevich tried to sell Barack Hussein Obama’s seat.

Reid was quoted as saying, “We are not making a judgment about qualifications of the appointee, but about whether the appointment itself is tainted by fraud. This is like judging the integrity of an election, free from fraud or corruption. It’s the process that lead to the appointment, not the appointee’s qualifications.”

I haven’t talked to my Chevy loving husband about this yet but, I am thinking a Ford may be my next car purchase. I see tweets and blogs about boycotting GM and Chrysler and I have mixed feelings about it.

However, if the Ford Motor Company is going to try and make a go of it without a bail out, I think I need to support that.

Do you all remember the woman that gave Mike Huckabee the wedding ring in lieu of money while he was on the campaign trail?

It took him a year to find her and he had her on his show tonight. When he asked her how she could give up her wedding ring, she said that she only had $40 and her husband didn’t want to give it up because that was all they had to last until payday in 2 weeks. Her ring was all she had of monetary value and she wanted to donate to a cause she really believed in.

Huckabee’s wife returned her simple gold band to her and then the Huckabee’s gave her an envelope containing $1000. Huckabee said he hoped that the money would help with Christmas.

That is the true Christmas spirit. This poor woman gave more than she had to give and it came back to her plus a lot more.

Way to go Huckabee!

It always amazes me how media attention can change a person’s morals.  I just read on foxnews.com that Rick Warren is defending his invitation to Barrack Hussein Obama’s Inauguration.

Under fire for opposing gay marriage, influential evangelical pastor Rick Warren said Saturday that he loves Muslims, people of other religions, Republicans and Democrats, and he also loves “gays and straights.”

“Three years ago I took enormous heat for inviting Barack Obama to my church because some of his views don’t agree (with mine),” he said. “Now he’s invited me.”

Obama defended his choice on Thursday, saying that he has also invited Joseph Lowery, a Methodist minister and civil rights leader who supports same-sex marriage and gay rights, to deliver the benediction.
